Introduction

Lpq command in Windows Server 2008 is used to shows the status of a print queue on a computer running Line Printer Daemon (LPD). Lpq command is also lists the status of all the available printers. Syntax used for Lpq command is given below.

Syntax

Lpq -S <ServerName> -P <PrinterName> [-l]

Parameters For Lpq

Parameter Description
-S <ServerName> Defines the computer or printer sharing device that hosts the LPD print queue with a status that you want to display.
-P <PrinterName> Defines the printer for the print queue with a status that you want to display.
-l Defines that you want to display details about the status of the print queue.
/? Shows help at the command prompt.
