Introduction
Lpq command in Windows Server 2008 is used to shows the status of a print queue on a computer running Line Printer Daemon (LPD). Lpq command is also lists the status of all the available printers. Syntax used for Lpq command is given below.

Lpq -S <ServerName> -P <PrinterName> [-l]

-S <ServerName> |
Defines the computer or printer sharing device that hosts the LPD print queue with a status that you want to display. |
-P <PrinterName> |
Defines the printer for the print queue with a status that you want to display. |

Defines that you want to display details about the status of the print queue. |
