Introduction

Paradox is a relational database management system (RDBMS) that was very popular before it was overtaken by Microsoft Access and which many still consider to be superior. The Paradox database format is still widely used by many other application because of its superior speed and efficiency.

Syntax

Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=c:\myDb;Extended Properties=Paradox 5.x;

In this connection string only the name of the folder is given in which database resides in data source field. User need not to give the name of the database.
